Nous avons tous cet ami\u2026 Celui qui prend plus qu\u2019il ne donne. Celui qui vide notre r\u00e9servoir plus qu\u2019il ne le remplit. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, ce type d\u2019amiti\u00e9 s\u2019\u00e9tiole avec le temps lorsque l\u2019un des deux amis se retire, \u00e9puis\u00e9 par les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour maintenir la relation.<\/p>

Mais certains d\u2019entre nous ont aussi eu la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction d\u2019avoir cet autre type d\u2019ami\u2026 celui qui nourrit notre \u00e2me. Cet ami fait ressortir ce qu\u2019il y a de meilleur en nous et nous rapproche de Dieu gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses conseils, sa camaraderie et son soutien. Il voit en nous ce qu\u2019il y a de meilleur et prend le relais pour nous lorsque nos forces s\u2019amenuisent. Cet ami sinc\u00e8re ajoute de la couleur dans notre monde et \u00e9largit notre horizon.<\/p>

Les v\u00e9ritables amiti\u00e9s ont tendance \u00e0 se renforcer et \u00e0 s\u2019approfondir avec le temps, les deux parties y investissant temps et \u00e9nergie pour voir leur ami s\u2019\u00e9panouir, \u00eatre heureux et sain. Mais les efforts en valent la chandelle, parce que ces relations g\u00e9n\u00e8rent un impact qui r\u00e9verb\u00e8re dans toutes les sph\u00e8res de notre vie.<\/p>

Gordon Petawabano et Paul Racine sont amis depuis plus de 20 ans. Au fil des ann\u00e9es, leur amiti\u00e9 s\u2019est transform\u00e9e en amour sinc\u00e8re, les deux pasteurs travaillant c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te dans la communaut\u00e9 crie de Mistissini, au Qu\u00e9bec. Paul \u0153uvre \u00e0 la t\u00eate de Doulos Ministries<\/a> que soutient Biblica Canada par l\u2019entremise de dons.<\/p>

En 2021, Gordon a re\u00e7u un diagnostic d\u2019insuffisance r\u00e9nale et a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 subir des dialyses r\u00e9guli\u00e8res \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, l\u2019\u00e9loignant de sa communaut\u00e9 et de son travail. En 2023, pouss\u00e9 par l\u2019Esprit, Paul a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de faire don de son rein pour sauver Gordon.<\/span><\/p>
